Sign of a tanked economy

Is when you go into your AD as I did yesterday. In the case they have both a Stainless Daytona and a Green Milgauss and you don't leave with either one of them on your wrist. This is the second time I have left a Daytona in a case, the only thing that kept that "I have to have this watch now" feeling at bay was that it was a black dial one.........

Anybody know anything about Tavannes wristwatches?

I've gotten a little off the internet - they are related to Cyma - and they were very prolific between the wars but that's about it. I've got this vintage Tavannes that I'd like to know more about; date of manufacture for one. It is keeping great time but needs to be serviced.Thanks!John........
