Watch buying advice

I am toying with the notion of saving my pennies and buying a watch at the next level. I have my eye on three different watches. . . two Hamiltons and a . . . .. .. . . . Breitling. Two years ago or so, I had planned to do this and buy a Breitling. Then some 20+ Invictas, 7 Hamiltons and 6 Accutrons seemed get in the way.This time, I am thinking of exercising self control and doing it. It may take me a year. Any suggestions?........

What to do with a good movement, stripped case?

I've got a Luminox 8400 series that I like but the crown is stripped. The movement is quite fine though, but the tritium probably only has a few years left on it. Should I ebay it, list it in the classifieds, find a donor case?Thanks........

This watch is easy to read, which is my highest priority. However, the strap is ridiculously long and sort of gets in the way. I wear it but the strap is a bit of a nuisance.
