Question on Hamilton authenticity.
I've noticed that some Hamiltons have the large Hamilton "H" displayed on their watchbacks and some do not. Is this a variation in models or is the lack of the "H" on the caseback identify a fake or copy? Also noticed Hamiltons do not appear to display a serial number like Seiko or Citizen (said numbers on the latter-described brands) serve to help identify a production date). What does Hamilto........

Picked up this Cartier Santos for my wife's 30th birthday. I actualy really like the look of the watch and now it has me looking at a Santos for myself. This one happens to be a quartz model since she wouldn't tolerate having to wind and set it whenever she wants to wear it.Sorry about all the fluff in the pictures...didn't really notice until after I took them.........
Vintage Watch Repair Advice
I'm new here, though I've been lurking a while, and I was hoping for some advice. Apologies if this should in a different forum.
