Just picked up this book "1001 Wristwatches" from the Bargain Bin at Barnes & Noble for only $12. It has examples of a lot of different brands and is divided by type (Chronograph, Diver, Aviator, GMT, Tourbillon, Calendar, Repeater etc.) and at almost 300 pages in hardcover it's a pretty good deal. ........

Wittnauer Ladies 14K gold watch 1950's
I inherited my mothers 1950's Wittnauer 14k white gold watch with 2 small diamonds. I can't locate a serial number. The movement markings are: Wittnauer Co Inc Swiss seventeen 17 jewel. AXA 5JHCan anyone help me date it? I'm trying to see if it is the watch my father gave my mother on their wedding day in 1953.........
