1956 Seamaster Automatic 2646-2648 cal.500
My watch keeps great time but I've toyed with the idea of having it serviced and/or cleaned up a bit. Everyone I've talked to seems to want $400+ to give it the "standard" checkup/maintenance, plus any parts needed. Is there another (cheaper) option out there? How might I determine the value of the watch? I'm not interested in spending more than it's worth.Thanks........
Grey Market Question

The AD could easily sell that watch quickly at MSRP, without haggle. Why sell, possibly below MSRP, to another jeweler?I never understood that. Any thoughts, or true facts?Bob........
