  Just got this one back from the watch doctor today:Not sure what model it is but I like the engraved sides and the "coin edge" detail around the bezel:Movement dates to 1930. Elgin database says its a 7 Jewel model 485, size 4/0.And the case was made by the Illinois case company for Elgin:Anyone know what model name or number this one is? thanksMark S.........

• Sub Dials are off center ???

  I tried posting this in the Omega forum, but no answer yet:My wife's 4 month old Speedmaster Olympic Edition sub dials are slightly off. The 30 minute dial is slightly off center to the right when you reset the chrono. I took it into my watch store and they fixed it in 30 minutes.My question is:1. How or why does this happen? It wasn't like that when we first got it 4 months ago. All the sub dials........

• Wearing damaged watches.

  Does anyone here wear damaged watches? For example, my watch so how got water inside it when I was jet skiing at a local lake...watch had water resistant of 330ft, deepest I went in the water was 4ft. Got the watch fixed and now all my luminous dial is bubbled and basically eaten off of the dial because of the water. Watch works great but no more luminous dial. :(........
