  I have noticed that the Bond style GMT, 2535.80, is listed at $3650, while the new version, 2234.50, is about $1000 less. Why is that? Also, what is it about the GMT, in general, that makes it so much more than a regular automatic SMP? Is the movement that much more expensive, or is it just marketing?   Just a simple question, I thought before that you can't open the watch by yourself or else it will break its water resistance or its seal and dust will get in and will damage the watch in the long run.
