Automatic movement question
Does anyone know what, if any, Hamilton models used the Swiss ETA or Certina 665 or 664 automatic movements?From a prior thread on this forum, I read that these are fully jeweled automatic movements, and more likely to have withstood the rigers of use.I'm interested in collecting Hamilton automatic, Thin-O-Matic, and Thin-Line models from the '60's. But I'm concerned about buying a vintage automa........

Or is it just my perception...pg 27 of this months Architectural Digest, a full page add for Hublot. Big Bang Red gold case 536 diamonds totalling 3.36 carrots...with a rubber band.I'd think something a little more fitting to the rest of the watch would be in order than rubber for the band.........
Plastic or glass?
I recently purchased a sizeable lot of vintage, NOS mineral/glass crystals. I'm currently looking at some decent vintage NOS lots of plastic crystals. My question is, how much would it affect the value of a watch if it has a glass crystal versus a plastic crystal, and would it deter you from buying a watch if it had a glass crystal instead of plastic? Just looking for others thoughts on the mat........
