Omega newbie...a few questions
Hey all, former Tag 2000 Quartz owner looking to upgrade to the SMP 2254.50and I have a few questions:1.) Is the 2254.50 really that much better of a timepiece than the new Aquaracer Auto? I've had this Elgin for a few years now, I've never seen another like it anywhere, I've always wanted to get information on it. The case is nickel plate with no wearthrough yet, the crystal does not look original as it does not have a perfect fit and the crown is a completely different color. Seiko SSA179 is the glass Sapphire or Hardlex
Seiko SSA179 Automatic I see it listed at two sites as Hardlex and sapphire at others, wondering if it is Sapphire.Seiko web site has it listed as sapphire. I've had a hard time finding Automatic Seikos that used Sapphire. To Service Grand Seiko (Spring Drive and Hi Beat Automatic): Must return to Japan?
Greetings (inaugural post)!Have the pleasure of recently acquiring 2 Grand Seikos [Divers Spring Drive and HI Beat 36000]. My understanding is that when servicing required (the watches are new, so in 3-ish years time ) they must be returned to Japan/Seiko. Is there not a North American outlet capable? And what is the average cost/turnover time for such a service? Thanks in advance. NTP........
