  Though I've been a collector for a long time, I am familiarizing myself with Hamiltons now. I prefer only vintage mechanical movements. To me, anything with quartz in it isn't a watch. My question is the relative demand for a "Samson", a 1955 watch I haven't seen too often. As you can see by the photo the 24hr faceplate is slightly unglued and I was wondering if going to a watch repair shop is necessary or if this is a simple fix.I also for the life of me don't know........

  Can anyone advise on time loss? I sent my XV away to be serviced in November. It came back to me in March, but I sent it away again because it was stopping after a few days. It's now back, and appears to be losing about 6-7 seconds a day.It's only just back- is it normal? Should I return it again or should I leave it a few days to settle?The watch is seven years old- does that make a difference?........
