• Size of Elgin Grade 64? Wrong information on the internet?

  Hi,I have an Elgin grade 64 from 1883. It was sold to me as 6s, also in the internet pocket watch database it says size 6. But the watch measures approximately 36,4 mm. So shouldn't this be more size 8? I tried to put the movement in a case, which was sold to me on ebay as size 6. The movement didn't fit. I also have an Elgin grade 45, also listed with size 6 in the database, which is a little sma........

• So, do I buy a Hamilton mechl watch, or save my cash and stick with cheap quartz?

  Okay guys and gals, here's my question: I really, really, really want a mechanical watch. (Auto or hand wind). What I really want is an IWC, but like that vintage Italian sports car I dream of owning I have owned one high-priced automatic watch, an Omega Speedmaster Automatic that I bought in 1992. I paid around two thousand for the watch, and it was such a huge piece of crap that I sold........
