• Submariner spring bar question

  After being told by the local omega dealer that I had to send my watch in to omega to get new spring bars installed I'm looking for an alternative option (30 days and $60 to do what I can do in 30 seconds for about $3 seems crazy)With that said, will just any ol' 20mm stainless spring bar do as a replacement? I don't want to over think this but I also don't want use sub-par parts and lose my watc........

• Antique Kemp & Wilcox - Case Help Needed

  Hi,a friend, who can't speak English, asked me to post here. He has an English pocket watch movement from Kemp and Wilcox. Fact: there is no winding stem sticking out of the movement, nor is there a hole for the winding stem. Instead there is a gear on the movement. So he needs a case with a gear, which engages the movement's gear. Does anybody know, what I am talking about? Does anybody have such........

  Found an old "Seamaster" from around 1960. I really have a passion for the old handwind movements, in this case the cal 268 ("30T5").Here are a couple movement photos. The movement was in such good shape my watchmaker said he thought the watch had never been opened.The case and crystal were a different story; looked like it had been in someones junk drawer amidst the screwdrivers and lag bolts for........
