omega Cellini Need Some Help.
I've posted this in the Vintage Forum as well, but really need to get some help with this.In June of 1971 I purchased 2 18K omega Cellini watches from what at the time was a highly respected retailer called Bucherer in Geneva, Switzerland. One of the watches had an 18K gold band that was built into the watch by omega and the other , which has a chocolate brown face, has a omega Crocodile band. I b........
18mm Band on 17mm Lugs-- a Big Concern?
I just noticed on the vintage Ventura I bought the band is 18mm and looked somewhat jammed into the watch lugs. It doesn't bother the fit on my wrist.Should I be quick to replace it with a proper 17mm band to prevent wear/stress on the lugs (14k white gold)? FWIW, it's a black leather band that works well with the watch, and I be inclined to keep the band if there's no concern with that tight fi........
The perfect mod for the Fleet Admiral(my opinion anyway)
I kicked this around for a few days and after seeing it in person. I just had to do it. The SS Mesh bracelet from DB takes the FA over the top IMHO.It just doesnt get any better than this(to me anyway,I simply love it). The contrast of the Case, Dial and the Bracelet. It was a NO brainer!........
OCD and broken watches......
am I the only one here who can't stand to own a broken watch???? Other than a cheapie pocket watch, I don't own a single watch which doesn't run properly. It drives me insane to have a watch that's broken. When a watch stops running it's off to the repair shop for it. In the past year I've probably spent an equivelent of a new speedy on keeping the fleet running perfectly. Am I the only one??????........
