Broken crown
A couple of weeks ago, I had adjusted the time on my 2254. When I screwed the crown in to the case, it fell loose in my hand! I took it to the AD where I purchased the watch. The two year guarantee was of course not valid anymore. And the sales rep told me that Omega probably would not have covered this anyway. I sent the watch for an appraisal the new Nordic Omega Service Center, and they respond........
48 hours with Mr. Sutton . . .
After 48 hours with my new (old) Hamilton Sutton vintage, I am very impressed.I have wound the watch three times and as of the third wind, the 70 year old movement is only a few seconds fast. Amazing.The watch has what looks like a new crystal and I believe the previous owner had it polished. It has a 14k gold-plated finish and outside of 70 years of use, it is in beautiful condition. Looking for a slide rule watch
I have fairly small wrists, and it seems that a lot of the slide rule watches out there are huge. Are there any more mid-size ones out there (like 40mm or under)? I don't need anything too complicated, just want to be able to do speed-distance-time calculations and other basic slide rule calcs.Thanks!........
Vintage Watch Repair
I have a Germinal Voltaire wrist watch my grandfather gave to my younger brother that I want to get in wearable condition and return to my brother. The watch runs really well and keeps time to within +- 3 or 4 seconds a day; the main issue is the acrylic crystal is in need of replacement.
