Piaget was founded in 1874 by Georges Eduard Piaget. Piaget set up his first workshop on his farm and devoted his time to crafting precise mechanical clock movements for prestigious watch making companies. The company quickly became popular because of its master craftsmanship. Piaget emerged onto the global scene in 1943 when the company officially registered its brand name and started selling watches under the name Piaget. The company developed the Caliber 9P, an extraordinarily thin watch with manually wound watch movements. In 1957 Piaget launched a watch that became a Piaget icon, the Emperador. The company then opened a manufacturing facility in Geneva that exclusively sold jewelry. In 1960 the company released the Caliber 12P movement, which became the slimmest self-winding movement in the world.
Hi All. I'm almost certain that my next purchase is going to be a Seiko Black Monster, and I'm trying to decide how to go about buying it.
