Wittnauer issue resolved!
Well, these arrived today:But the Wittnauer has an issue. When I started winding it, first nothing was happening, and I wasn't hearing that little click, click when I held it to my ear as I wound it. Also, it didn't start. After a few more turns of the crown, the crystal popped off.So, I tried a little experiment, and wound the crown with the movement out of the case and crystal. Solar Flares --Yo CometHunter
The sun is having a major bout of solar flatulence (ok, not technically passing gas per se but...) today which some may interpret as the beginning of the process that will lead to the end of the world in December but I wonder if these solar flares are going to have any negative effects on: a) mechanical watches ( say, increased magnetism in the air) and b) quartz ( say, electro magnetic pulses).........
