Newbie to this forum, but not to the hobby.
Should I start by saying "Hi, my name is Dennis and I'm a horoholic"? I've been collecting for a few years but just came across this site the other day. I think I'll poke around for a while if nobody minds. I'd be happy to share my collection, as I'm just starting to get into photographing the pieces and any critiques would be appreciated. I have a couple dress watches, a few SS sports watches, and a handful or so of vintage items.........
A few comments on Hirsch Straps
I received my Hirsch straps today. I spent more on these (because I had an Amazon gift card) than I have on any other leather strap. They are Duke line. The first disappointment was that they are made in China, despite the band reading, "Hirsch, Austria Since 1765." In terms of quality, they seem awfully stiff, but I've felt that way before about several straps and they have broken in over time.One positive thing is that they are padded and the strap is thicker by the lugs and then gets thin........
