• Any info on 1950's Cal 853 DeLuxe Automatics

  I recently purchased an IWC Automatic "DeLuxe". I have found references to this watch in old IWC brochures and it appears to be very similar to the 1950's Ingeneur but without the anti-magnetic treatment. If you own one of these models or have any info on it I would be very grateful. THe watch I purchased is 18K yellow gold with a gold dial.........

• Very Odd Indeed

  There's an oddity on the UK eBay site right now. Can't link as it's a commercial seller. Suffice it to say it's a - Vintage Hamilton 987 10k Gold cased fancy lugs 17 jewels over wound.The movement's a 987-E, but the face and case are completely unknown to my eyes. I see a bit of an Ellsworth resemblance in the dial, but only a bit. The case is completely unknown to me. Any theories on this oddity?........
