• Automatic watch stops working within hours?

  I just purchased a Bentley big date. For the first few days, everything was great. If I haven't worn the watch for a day it would obviously stop. However, a few days later, after wearing my Bentley all day, I would take it off at the end of my 12 hr work day. All of a sudden, my Bentley would stop working after just an hour or two. I would then wind it 30 or more times. Why does my watch stop ........

  What drew you to Hamilton in the first place? Was it the vintage watches or the modern line-up? How have your tastes changed? Did you buy one first and then start with the other. For me I bought a modern watch, the Khaki Field Auto Chrono, and then developed an interest in the vintage watches, acquiring a Clinton. Later I bought a modern Trent, so that is sort of a go-between.........
