• Hamilton 14kgf Square with a"METAL" center

  Has anyone else located a Hamilton Square with a center stamped as "METAL"? This one all matches, but it has a 986A movement. The portion of the center stamped "METAL" is clearly a white metal as opposed to the rest of the green (or yellow) filled case. I have wondered for the year or 2 that I've owned it if it might have been an undocumented WWII-issued watch? I have left it exactly as when I........

• Does anyone have a good pronunciation list?

  I was reminded of this by Tranquility's question about JLC. It is very helpful to have one around. Many watch brands are difficult to pronounce, and a good WE should be able to pronounce them when needed. I've seen partial lists elsewhere. Do we have a good list here, or could some one post one? After all, I still say: 'O-may-ga.'........

  I know it isn't always the case. Especially when some companies have tossed them in just for advertising sake. How many is too many? How few is too few? I recall 17 being a mark of a quality. What's the difference between a 17, 21, 25? Can the 17 still be a more precise movement than the 21s etc. regardless of the amount of jewel bearings?........
