• My Snowmageddon Nickel Star Watch Case Resto Project

  Well, the Snowmegeddon Blizzard is just about upon us in Illinois right now (20" of snow on the way) so I started a case restoration project that should keep me busy for a few days. This is a size 0s, Nickel, Star Watch Case from the late 1920's probably. It had VERY bad gouges on the case back that were nearly .5mm deep in some places and the rest of the case was almost as bad.   Does anyone of you guys know the general tolerance of watch parts? I would like to have a watch DLC coated like the watches in the link below. The coating is 1/3000mm, will the parts fit back together? I am talking about coating the entire watch.Jon........
