• SS/Gold vs SS/Platinum

  Hello all,Time has come for me to buy another new omega!.. My choices have been narrowed down to the following.1-SS/Gold GMT MasterII 116713 or 2-SS/Platinum New Yacht Master 116622 Blue dial.I would truly appreciate feedback from all of you as to pros and cons.. I like both, but I cant make up my mind.. Keep in mind I dont have a specific use for either model, its just a matter of me liking bo........

• newbie cleaning/polishing question

  Hi, I am a very new member so please be gentle with me. I have a variety of 13 watches; most purchased used from ebay. My favourite brand is Raymond Weil of which I have 4 gold plated. Over time thaey become dull and tarnished. I have read on this forum that Cape cod will probably remove the gold plate so I am looking at different cleaning/polishing cloths. Some contain jewellers rouge, other clot........

• Bracelet fitting...

  I vaguely remember either reading somewhere or being told that in general one side of a watch bracelet should be longer (have more links) than the other side in order to keep it balanced on the wrist, and that the clasp should not be centered under the wrist.Has anyone found this to be true, or is there a general "rule of thumb" about this?I've got a friend whose watch keeps wanting to rotate a bi........
