  just bought a 5712/1a and am very happy with it. It is slim and has some complications and sporty and does what i want from it. But when I compare it to my Grosse Lange 1, the difference to detail is amazing. The Lange looks far superior with the blued screws and fine details to workmanship. I then started to check the catalog for the different movement and none of the Pateks seem to have blued sc........

  I think this is about 1940 ,I haven't looked it up yet. It was so rusty I almost ecraped it for parts .It's a val 72c.I started cleaning it up to see what I could salvage and got a little carried away.12 hours later it was back from the dead.(" do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life")I don't remember who said that.........

  Hi everyone,I have a 20 year old Seiko, which chimes on the hour. I've been told that the next time the watch needs repair, they no longer have any parts, so I suppose it's living on borrowed time!I've been searching for any replacement watch that has an hourly chime, but so far have not found any.Does anyone know of such a watch? Doesn't really matter what brand, but would prefer a middle-of-the-........
